Shortly before the holiday season, the Audiomob team was thrilled to attend the inaugural Hurun UK Under 30s event — where CEO Christian Facey and CTO Wilfrid Obeng were both included on a list of 100 outstanding UK-based business founders under the age of 30. 

With Audiomob investor Nzube Ufodike accepting the awards on their behalf, Christian and Wilfrid are beyond excited to be featured in the Hurun Research Institute’s most recent lineup of notable UK entrepreneurs — which also includes several other prolific figures in the gaming, adtech, and startup spaces.

What is the Hurun UK Under 30s List?

Held by the Hurun Research Institute on October 17, 2022, the Hurun UK Under 30s 2022 took place in London to celebrate 100 outstanding young entrepreneurs “shaping the future of the UK economy”. 

Christian and Wilfrid have joined the ranks of other high-profile business founders — including Gymshark CEO Ben Francis, tech billionaire Johnny Boufarhat of Hopin, and former England U20 and Manchester City player Reece Wabara (who now owns a popular online fashion retailer).

Also included on the list are 29 women, with the average age of the 100 featured entrepreneurs being 28 years and 6 months. The list also features a strong showing of young entrepreneurs from ethnic minority backgrounds, evidencing how the UK’s tech ecosystem is becoming increasingly more diverse.

Rupert Hoogewerf, Hurun Report Chairman and Chief Researcher, has commented on this year’s inaugural event: “The Hurun UK Under 30s is a celebration of the most successful young entrepreneurs in the country, the most likely to build the homegrown billion-dollar businesses of the future.
